North of Spain Itinerary: Basque Country, Cantabria and Asturias
These are the chronicles of my road through this North of Spain itinerary with my cousins in the Spring Break of 2019. It is an 11 day itinerary that spanned from the French Basque Country to Asturias, including the way from and to Barcelona (where I currently live).
This North of Spain itinerary is one of the most scenic trips you can take in the Southern European country. Unlike the Mediterranean coast and the south, the north is still quite hidden from mass tourism, so you will get a much more local experience. This region with ancient culture, dramatic landscapes, solitary beaches and delicious food will steal your heart right away! Here is my route through the north of Spain:

Closing statement
This is one of the most fantastic journeys that you can do in Spain. The north is much less crowded than the Mediterranean coast or the South. It is filled with beautiful and varied landscapes: from hilly green fields to thick forests, to wonderful beaches with cliffs and to high snowy mountains and little colourful towns. It is also home to some of the best food in Spain (and that is something!) and, to top it off, it is quite inexpensive. Start reading about this route now!
