Let’s feast on travel experiences!

Hi! I’m Guillem, a 30-something-year old molecular biologist with a passion for traveling and for food (tasting new dishes while I’m abroad makes me kind of reach nirvana). Let me tell you a bit about Feast of Travel.

The beginnings of my passion for travel

My passion for traveling started…well I don’t remember, it has always been there. It probably comes from my parents. They always gave me the option to join them in their trips at a very young age, at their own cost in money and experiences. They also encouraged me to travel on my own as soon as I could (and also a bit before), and taught me to cherish the process of meeting a new culture, learning a new language or preparing a new dish. For that, I owe them everything, because they introduced me to what has become the biggest joy of my life: traveling.

Ever since I got some independence, I’ve been trying to find a way to do what I love most while still trying to keep my job, pay my bills and save time for my family and friends. If you are here looking for a solution to this, I don’t have it, I am still struggling to find it! That is why I am not gonna try to sell you a “how to travel while earning money” blog, at least until I figure it out myself 😉

Instead, I just want to share with you the experiences I collect while living a regular person’s life. It is in part a way for me to revisit my trips and keep the fun, the passion and the feeling of traveling for a bit longer after I come back. It is also a way to help other travellers like me to get the best of their trips, the way I was helped with other travel bloggers in the past. And also it is a way for me to connect with some like-minded people that I wouldn’t get the chance to know otherwise.

I also have a special fixation with food, so expect to read a lot about what I eat during my trips in my posts, although I’ll try to be organised and keep them in the “Food” section (I can’t promise anything).
